- Strategy
- Enters on a change in the state of delivery after London or New York sweeps the Asian, London or previous-day high/low, with exits on a standard-deviation R ladder.
- Risk model
- 1% of balance per trade, stop beyond the manipulation extreme, one trade at a time, max 3 trades and 2 losses per day, Friday close.
What it does
The Expert Advisor version of STDV AMD. It waits for a manipulation sweep during London or the New York morning, enters on the change in the state of delivery back inside the swept level, and scales out on a ladder of R multiples with break-even and step-lock stops.
How it works
- Setup: Asia 20:00–00:00 NY builds the range; in the London or NY AM window a run of opposing candles sweeps the Asian, London or previous-day high/low.
- Entry: a close beyond the open of that run's first candle (CISD). Entry modes include market at the CISD close or limits at a fair value gap, the optimal trade entry zone, an order block or a CISD retest.
- Stop: beyond the manipulation extreme plus 0.1 × ATR; trades with stops outside 0.3–3 ATR are skipped.
- Exits: a ladder of partial closes (default 30% at 1R, 20% at 2R, 15% at 3R and 5R, 10% at 10R and a 10% runner), stop to entry at 1R, then each target locks the previous one; an optional swing or ATR trail.
How to use it
Attach it to an XAUUSD M5 or M15 chart, set the server-time offset for your broker and run it in the Strategy Tester with real ticks before anything else.

Limitations
The author's own tests on gold were mixed: some settings were profitable in 2024–25 but lost money in 2019–22 and on 2026 real-tick data, and real-tick win rates were much lower than bar-data tests suggested. Small stops make it sensitive to spread and slippage.
Before you run it live
Test on a demo account first, with real-tick Strategy Tester runs on your own broker's data. Keep risk at or below 1% and confirm the session offset after daylight-saving changes.
