Contents
FXPIPS ONLINE publishes educational content about the foreign exchange market. This page explains the standards our content follows, so you can judge how much to trust it.
Our purpose
We write to help readers understand how currency markets work. We do not write to persuade anyone to trade, and we never tell readers what to buy or sell.
Who writes our content
Lessons, glossary entries, tool guides and articles are produced by the FXPIPS Editorial Desk. Every piece is written for this site. We do not copy or closely paraphrase other websites, books or courses.
Accuracy standards
- Correct arithmetic. Every worked example is checked. We use standard conventions: 1 standard lot = 100,000 units of the base currency, a mini lot = 10,000, a micro lot = 1,000, and a pip = 0.0001 for most pairs or 0.01 for JPY-quoted pairs.
- Illustrative prices only. Examples use clearly labelled hypothetical prices ("Assume EUR/USD is quoted at 1.0850"). We never present an example as a current market price.
- Sourced facts. When we cite a statistic, we name the source and the year and use rounded wording. We prefer primary sources such as central banks, statistical agencies, regulators and the Bank for International Settlements.
- No fabrication. We do not invent statistics, quotes, testimonials, studies or forecasts.
What we do not publish
- Guaranteed-profit claims, "secret strategies" or similar hype.
- Personalised investment advice or trade signals.
- Price predictions presented as fact.
- Paid content disguised as editorial content.
If an article contains opinion, we label it clearly as opinion.
Content types
Each article is tagged with a content type:
- Explainer – evergreen background on how something works.
- Analysis – discussion of drivers and relationships, without trade recommendations.
- Opinion – a clearly labelled view of the Editorial Desk.
- News – updates about the site, data methodology or factual developments, with sources.
Independence
Advertising and affiliate links are disabled by default. If they are ever enabled, commercial relationships will not influence what we write, and affiliate links will always be labelled. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
Updates and corrections
We review evergreen content periodically and show an "updated" date on each page. If you spot an error, email contact@fxpips.online with the page link and the issue. We investigate every report, correct confirmed errors promptly and update the date on the page.
Risk reminder
Trading carries substantial risk of loss. Our content is educational only. Please read our Risk Disclaimer.
