- Strategy
- After a leg sweeps the previous swing and a candle closes through the leg's origin, it enters on the order-block retest with targets at the −2 and −4 projections.
- Risk model
- Risk-based position size, stop beyond the sweep extreme, TP1 at −2 SD and an optional runner to −4 SD.
What it does
The Expert Advisor companion to the SD Projections indicator. It looks for a smart-money reversal, anchors a projection on the manipulation leg and trades the retest with targets taken from that projection.
How it works
- Reversal: a leg sweeps the previous swing high (low), then a candle closes through the swing that started the leg (market structure shift).
- Projection: 1 = sweep extreme, 0 = leg origin, with levels at −1, −2, −2.5 and −4.
- Entry: on the order-block retest, or at market on the shift if configured.
- Exits: stop beyond the sweep extreme, first target at −2, optional runner to −4.
How to use it
Attach it to a chart of the symbol with M5 as the working timeframe. Filter out weak shifts with the displacement input if you see too many signals in ranges.
Settings
| Input | Default | What it changes |
|---|---|---|
| Working timeframe | M5 | Structure timeframe |
| Swing strength | 3 | Pivot sensitivity |
| Bars searched for swings | 300 | History used |
| Min leg size | 0.5 × ATR | Leg filter |
| Min displacement | 0 (off) | Requires a strong shift candle |
| TP1 / runner | −2 / −4 | Targets |
Limitations
Retest entries can be missed in fast moves, and in strong trends the reversal pattern triggers against the dominant direction. Results depend heavily on the minimum leg and displacement filters.
Before you run it live
Optimise and then validate on a period you did not optimise on. Demo trade it before using real money, and keep risk per trade small.
